Job Description

As an Air Import Supervisor, you will play a key role in developing and managing the air import product in the marketplace. This position focuses on Operations, Finance, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while driving efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review daily quotations to ensure accuracy and minimize branch losses.
  • Verify local charges and agreement quotes to reduce potential financial risks.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of air import products, including Breakbulk, Gateway, and Pricing.
  • Lead and participate in huddles and monthly meetings to share market intelligence and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Support the transition of new business updates into existing operations.
  • Drive department revenue growth in alignment with district budget targets and management expectations.
  • Prepare and review internal financial reports to ensure accurate and transparent accounting.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Compliance Manager to maintain compliance and support audits and trainings.
  • Identify and implement system enhancements and process improvements within the department.
  • Assist the Manager with EPEs and goal-setting initiatives under the 3+1 Initiative.
  • Monitor and support team development and performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of global logistics and air import operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Industry-specific knowledge of air import processes.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Graduate.
  • Preferred: Graduate of IATA/IFATA introductory course.
