Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic receptionist to join our Melbourne branch as the “Face of the company" while supporting the operations of the administration team. 

This role is perfect for an admin all-rounder with the ability to multitask and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to company's policies and procedures.

Based in our Keilor East office, the hours are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and visitors 
  • Answer phones & take messages
  • Direct the caller to the appropriate employee or department as efficiently as possible
  • Good follow through on tasks and attention to detail
  • Maintain a presentable reception area
  • Maintain a visitor log for security
  • Distribute mails as appropriate
  • Process drivers paperwork 
  • Manage and maintain stationary stock
  • Assist Management, Administration, and other Departments as requested
  • Following up with overseas districts for rates and cost
  • Compiling quotes and sending that to customers along with follow up with outcome and data recording of quotation outcome
  • Maintaining and dispatching rate cards in the rate repository via the rate repository
  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Good typing speed
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Courteous communication and phone manner
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Positive and willing to help attitude
  • Professional attitude and attire that exemplifies the Expeditors Culture
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, freight forwarding and incoterms preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Full working rights in Australia
