Job Description
Scope of Position
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Import Department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with customers to arrange international shipments and provide high-quality service.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the operating system.
- Monitor and track international import shipments to ensure visibility and timeliness.
- Facilitate on-time delivery of freight to customers.
- Prepare and distribute required documentation to customers or customs brokers to support timely clearance.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing in accordance with company standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including steamship lines, airlines, and trucking providers.
- Communicate effectively with overseas partners, ensuring prompt responses to internal and external inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, understand, and communicate clearly and concisely to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Interest in developing a career in supply chain management and logistics.
- Fluent in English
