Job Description
The Distribution & Warehouse Manager leads all warehouse and distribution operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and customer‑centric environment. This role is responsible for managing staff, driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, and delivering high‑quality service through continuous improvement. The manager oversees day‑to‑day warehouse activities, distribution workflows, inventory control, facility readiness, and process optimization to support business targets and financial objectives.
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage, coach, and develop warehouse and distribution staff, including supervisors.
- Conduct weekly huddles, monthly 1‑on‑1s, and staff appraisals in line with the 3+1 Initiative.
- Oversee staffing levels—including permanent and contingent staff—to meet workload requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility environment that fosters teamwork and accountability.
- Support staff integration, onboarding, and training programs, ensuring all required certifications and standards are upheld.
Distribution Operations
- Oversee daily order processing, inventory records, and distribution activities to ensure accuracy and on‑time delivery.
- Review and support day‑to‑day quotations and customer inquiries.
- Support product checking, load accuracy, and shipping requirements to minimize branch losses.
- Plan and coordinate distribution schedules, workloads, and operational priorities.
- Attend sales meetings to analyze market intelligence, update teams on operational issues, and facilitate communication with commercial stakeholders.
- Drive revenue growth in alignment with District targets and management expectations.
Warehouse Operations
- Lead warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure compliance with Warehouse & IOC standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures (OPS).
- Execute the District Tactical Business Plan and performance standards for Warehouse Operations.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, facility readiness, and mandatory inspections.
- Manage budgeting for warehouse operations, including staffing, overtime, equipment, maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and adherence to physical inventory standards.
Compliance, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, the Desk Level Standard Operating Procedures database, and operational performance standards.
- Partner with the Trade Compliance Manager on compliance initiatives and training programs.
- Maintain certification compliance for safety and operational standards.
- Map and monitor department processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and service levels.
- Lead and support system enhancements, process improvements, and productivity initiatives.
- Communicate proactively with cross‑functional teams to maintain awareness of policies, regulations, and operational updates.
- Support internal audits and ensure financial reporting accuracy (BNP, AJAX, CLH, financial reviews).

- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, influence, and collaborate effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Awareness of security and safety requirements for warehouse management (including Bahrain‑specific requirements, if applicable)
