Job Description
Ensure proper and timely filing and monitoring of district level post entry activity, including
but not limited to, CF28s, CF29s, post summary corrections (PSCs), protests,
supplemental duty tenders, IOR revisions, etc., in accordance with regulatory and
corporate compliance guidelines and operational process standards.
- Prepare and submit post entry activity within statutory timelines
- Ensure proper monitoring of post entry activity through to US Customs decision/liquidation
- Maintain a high level of expertise in CBP regulations, rulings, and trade policy updates impacting post entry processes
- Act as a point of contact for clients, explaining discrepancies, duty amount change and compliance updates
- Provide required visibility to clients for post entry status updates
- Manage all post entry activities according to Expeditors’ Operational Process Standards, (OPS) and utilizing the Post Entry Management Application (PEMA)
- Provide routine internal updates regarding pending and active post entry
- Supporting Customs team with filing of customs entries
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in U.S. Customs brokerage
- Strong understanding of US Customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, government agencies, and internal teams
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks to completion
- Problem solving and follow-up skills
- Ability to articulate clearly through written and oral presentation
