Job Description

Based at the customer site, the The Reverse Logistics & Inventory Analyst is a key member of the reverse operations team, focused on: Managing the inventory disposition (“dispo”) table and reverse flows, Building and maintaining dashboards and analytics that give real-time visibility to the customer, and Driving process improvements as volumes and complexity scale. You will work closely with the customer’s operations and program teams, as well as 3PL partners, to keep reverse logistics stable, data-driven, and ready for significant growth.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Reverse Logistics & Disposition Ownership

  • Own and maintain the inventory disposition / dispo table for reverse flows, ensuring data is accurate, current, and clearly actionable.

  • Research and respond in a timely manner to inquiries from the customer regarding inventory status, disposition decisions, and reverse logistics flows.

  • Use critical thinking to make disposition recommendations and support fluid, data-backed decisions for returned or excess inventory.

  • Help build resiliency in the operation by serving as part of a small core team, reducing single-point-of-failure risk for critical reverse processes.

Data, Dashboards & Analytics

  • Collect, cleanse, analyze, and interpret data related to global supply chain and logistics operations, with a focus on reverse and inventory flows.

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports when standard tools/dashboards are missing or broken, providing the team with clear operational visibility.

  • Develop end-to-end data solutions utilizing relational databases and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL Server, BigQuery, Tableau, Google Data Studio/Looker Studio, Google Sheets).

  • Translate complex data into concise, meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Program Support

  • Partner with the customer and internal teams to stabilize and then improve reverse logistics processes, especially as volumes grow significantly over the next several years.

  • Map current workflows, identify gaps or bottlenecks, and recommend improvements that enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability.

  • Support program / project-style work related to new reverse flows, additional dispo tables, system enhancements, and automation.

  • Document standards, procedures, and best practices so the operation can be replicated and scaled.

 Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Present findings, dashboards, and recommendations directly to the customer and internal leadership.

  • Build strong working relationships with the customer’s operations and program managers, engineering / systems teams, and Expeditors colleagues.

  • Communicate clearly, proactively, and professionally in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment.

 

Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex data in simple terms.

  • Customer support or customer-facing experience, ideally in a technical or operational context.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, reliable analysis.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a business process analytics / data analytics role.

  • Hands-on experience creating dashboards and charts to summarize data and display information for decision-makers.

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and/or BigQuery.

  • Understanding and working knowledge of coding/scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or Java.

  • Previous experience with Google Workspace (Google Docs/Sheets) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Data Studio/Looker Studio, etc.).

  • Understanding of supply chain operations, including logistics order management, warehousing, transportation, inventory, and trade compliance.

  • Experience working with or around cloud technology / data center operations is strongly preferred.

  • Warehousing or reverse logistics experience (e.g., WMS/EWM environments).

  • BA/BS degree in a Technical, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or commensurate experience.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience specifically in reverse logistics, returns, or disposition processes.

  • Experience supporting high-growth, high-complexity environments (e.g., large tech or cloud providers).

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, or program / project work (leading initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, tracking actions).

  • Prior experience working with Google or other large technology clients.
