Job Description

Scope of Position: 

Assist the Warehouse Lead and Supervisor in any way possible to make the work of the warehouse run smoothly and efficiently.  

This position is second shift, 5 P.M. to 2 A.M. This position receives a second shift pay premium.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Timely & accurate unloading/loading of trucks.
  • Accurate weighing and dimensioning of freight.
  • Operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts (electric & gas)
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
  • Accurate labeling of freight, zero cross-labels.
  • Proper putting away, picking, & staging freight, all freight must be put away into a location & accounted for (PUT’s & LDD)
  • Filling out documentation as trained.
  • Be able to identify and match numbers and country codes
  • Ability to interact with office to meet customer service standards.
  • Contribute to maintain good relationships with customers, zero mis-ships, cross labels or damage to customer freight.
  • Compliance to all ITAR, DG and other compliance rules and processes.
  • Contributing to ensure a clean and safe warehouse environment, including Temperature Controlled Room.
  • May check in drivers in the ProxyClick system and verify their information (if trained to do so).
  • Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

 

Personal Development:

  • Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
  • Attend training classes and completes mandatory training when required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift Certification and be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Organized and has good time management skills
  • Is resourceful to find the answer.
