Job Description

Responsible for ensuring accuracy and validity of check/payment transactions and period-end accruals. Responsible also in ensuring via constant  review/audit of cost provisions per file and compliance in all kinds of audit.

Directly Reporting to: Accounting Supervisor - AP and Country Controller

Accounts Payable :

  • Perform checking and validation of payment requests and ensures accurate recording in exp.o accounting system
  • Ensures that accrual is match and any differences are resolved timely
  • Checks and validates cost provisions and any (under) and over provisions are resolved timely
  • Perform appropriate escalation for any unresolved concerns affecting accounts payable team specially related to closing process

General Accounting:

  • Ensure and carry-out overall general accounting functions (e.g. Fixed Assets, Period Closing, Bookkeeping, Monthly and Statutory reporting, etc.)
  • Assists Accounting Supervisor/Country Controller for the completion of audits such as BIR audit, Year-end statutory audit, Central Headquarters (CHQ) Audit
  • Ensure timely preparation, review and analysis of GL account reconciliation
  • Ensure team’s output are carried-out properly and timely

Compliance :

  • Ensures thru constant checking of compliance of service providers billing invoices and receipts in accordance with the existing laws and regulation (e.g. EOPT law)
  • Assists in completing and submission of audit requirements

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 4 + years of accounting specific qualification
  • With relevant experience in audit and complianc

Knowledge :

  • Accounting and Finance knowledge
  • Knowledge in Local Tax Laws 
  • Global Logistics Industry knowledge

Skills :

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with an attention to the details.
  • Can communicate in different level of organization (e.g. regional counterparts)
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to financial persons as well as non-financial persons at all levels from Operations to Senior Management to obtain positive results
  • Proven leadership attitude and skills
  • Ability to drive through change.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, Accounting, Product, Sales, Account Management and Legal
  • Report writing and Analytical skills
