SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Air Cargo Pricing Supervisor optimizes pricing strategies to enhance profitability and competitive positioning, conducting market analysis, developing pricing models, and implementing pricing policies to attract customers and develop business.

SUPERVISOR CORE COMPETENCIES

In conjunction with department leadership, properly on-boards new hires and ensures team members have clear expectations. Provides frequent feedback that is timely, accurate, and honest. Participates in regular one-one-ones and an annual review for employees. Assists manager with development plans for employees that addresses competency gaps and/or prepares employees for growth. Ensures employees complete 52 hours of relevant training each year and that required training is completed timely. Business Development (Supervisor, Branch Product)
Assists department leadership with growing the product's business through involvement in sales and retention programs. Responds to requests for proposal, quotation or information timely and with market-competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer. Participates in the transition of new business and strives to build and maintain relationships with the key customer stakeholders that are managed on the team.
Financial Excellence (Supervisor, Branch Product)
Applies exp.o accounting expertise to assist department leadership with meeting financial growth and cost savings goals, which may include: reviewing accounts receivable, analyzing billing activity for accuracy and timeliness and monitoring department profitability and expenses.
Operational Excellence (Supervisor, Branch Product)
In conjunction with department leadership, monitors and improves product District Excellence and Global Business Operations metrics. Monitors department process flow while constantly looking for areas to improve efficiency and customer service. Assists with managing capacity and productivity of department and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements AFR Pricing/Commercial strategy for RFQs and targeted customers/market segments/trade lanes which supports overall AFR Product strategy and service standards
- Establishes effective/competitive regional pricing solutions, internal tariff management and pricing process efficiencies, working closely with our local and other regions’ AFR and Commercial teams
- Executes Sales/Pricing campaigns in alignment with AFR and commercial strategy.
- Supports AFR global/regional pricing and tariff related projects/initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Drives strategic customer development, pricing negotiation and improvement initiatives.
- Implements analytical reporting tools to manage RFQ pricing and profitable business gains/ retention
- To maintain a very good relationship with the service providers.
- To maintain always the most updated local/regional port or airport charges, storage and demurrages.
- To maintain always the most updated local/regional transportation charges.
- To build very good relationship with the local/regional carriers and co-loaders.
- To requests rates from local carriers, as well as from destination/origin offices and compare the same with Share point and contract agreements.
- Quotes to be prepared using the Quoting Database or Approved Quote Format as per company policy.
- To keep good relationship with Sales, Customer Service and to collect feedback for each and every quote.
- To gather as much information as possible (carrier’s name, transit time, services used) to be able to quote better and get a high closing ratio.
- To run weekly report through the Quoting Database and analyze the information and keep region aware of the best carrier to use from the best port/airport.
- To keep all quotes submitted confidential and never disclose the information to anyone outside the department.
- To make sure job is executed as per company guidelines and policies.
- To always update the team with the GRI, PSS and rate fluctuations and changes whenever they occur.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Training Requirements:
- Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year, including as needed management/leadership training
Education and Experience:
- 4 + years professional background in the freight forwarding industry at managerial level
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of air freight market and logistics/supply chain industry
- Strong customer knowledge on RFQs, pricing and contractual management
