Job Description

Tasks and Duties

  • Receive and review export documents from USPPI.
  • Receive and review export routing information and details from nominated freight forwarder.
  • Prepare export customs entries in our proprietary system or other customs software.
  • Understand the elements of the Export customs SOPs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operating systems.
  • Ensure timely export customs clearance of shipments.
  • Monitor export customs clearances and communicate with Customers.
  • Extract required data and information from customer supplied reports

 

Physical Demands

  • Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.  
  • Write with pencil/pen/marker. 

Functions performed primarily while seated at desk

Qualifications

  • Global logistics industry knowledge
  • Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Fluent in English

Other preferred (not required) qualifications:

  • Experience in filing/preparing Export Compliance information for U.S. Customs
  • U.S. Export compliance knowledge/familiarity
  • Fluent in English
