Job Description
The Logistics Operations Analytic Specialist will play a crucial role in managing data-driven projects focused on reporting, capacity utilization, inventory analysis, and collaboration with external vendors and site operations teams. Works directly with the customer and stakeholders to deliver on-time program results across the network, influence decisions through collaboration, and leadership with a customer-focused approach. The role also includes responsibility for inventory data analysis, utilization and capacity challenges, as well as continuous improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build customer relationship and provide excellent customer service, understanding their needs and goals
- Identify and address issues that may impact customer satisfaction and work on solutions to improve the overall customer experience
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities identified from completing order trend and outbound performance analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of warehouse capacity utilization, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and provides recommendations for improvement
- Support in the development and updating of weekly reports, dashboards and presentations that provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to stakeholders, particularly outbound order and transportation trends
- Build strong partnerships with 3PL (third-party logistics) vendors, ensuring data transparency and facilitating effective collaboration on capacity optimization initiatives
- Partner with Site Operations Project Managers to translate data-driven insights into actionable plans and support the execution of capacity-related projects
- Work directly with 3PLs, planning team on order prioritization
- Coordination and execution on consolidation opportunities to help increase capacity
- Tracking & monitoring inbound/outbound material moves
- Drive partner teams to stay up to date with slip code reasoning
- Aggregate slip code information to help derive meaningful insights and trends
- Continuously develop your individual knowledge of logistics trends, data analytics, and general business acumen to benefit the customer and your personal career development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytic related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years logistics, supply chain, large scale warehouse operations or related experience
- 1+ years experience with problem solving and story telling via data analysis
- Advanced in using SQL, and data visualization tools for data analysis and information sharing
- Advanced in using Google Suite tools, including Google Sheets, Excel (Lookups, tables), for data analysis
- Advanced customer service skills, including ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly
- Intermediate project management skills, setting timelines, managing resources, and tracking progress
- Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Risk sensitive, recognizes when problems arise or are likely to arise
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
