Job Description
We hire for attitude and train for skill!
- Position is on-site in Chesapeake, VA. This is not a remote position.
- This role is not eligible for H-1B or other employment visa sponsorship
- Prepare and execute the submission of US Customs Entries to ensure the timely release of cargo importing into some of the largest ports in the United States
- Analyze and evaluate data flows from our customers into our operational systems
- Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continual improvement and evolution
- Work within the multi-agency regulatory environment, ensuring that Customs declarations are prepared in compliance with all Partner Government Agencies
- Meet or exceed performance goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Utilize an array of specialized Expeditors software to increase the compliance and efficiency of our team
- Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee
- Promote compliance by diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride

Qualifications
- Driven and motivated individual desiring to embark on or continue a career in the exciting world of international logistics and global trade
- Understanding of the importance of quality customer service and its effect on all facets of a successful business and brand
- Exceptional collaborative skills working in a close-knit and competitive team of brokerage agents
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and OneNote
- Proven ability to learn new software and utilize evolving technologies
- Understanding and interest in the world of international logistics and global supply chains
- Proactive and organized approach to learning and executing on the job
- A U.S. Customs Broker License is not required
