Job Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with Tradewin customers through proactive email and verbal communications
  • Research, Compile and prepare regulatory document(s) as required by US Customs and Border Protection to support the Reconciliation entry process using Excel, Word, Acrobat.
  • Use ACE data, as per client instructions, including working directly in ACE to run reports, or to review reports as provided by clients.
  • Attend required training sessions to learn more about potential regulatory changes that affect daily tasks
  • Attend required training sessions to learn about Tradewin processes, procedures, systems, and record keeping requirements
  • Prepare Post Entry submissions including, but not limited to Post Summary Corrections, Protests, Prior Disclosures, Reconciliations
  • Independently research, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write technically relevant correspondence and procedural documents that will have internal and/or external audience.
  • Conduct research as necessary to validate duty and fees calculations and reconciliation upload templates using Excel or SQL
  • Recommend improvements that improve Tradewin’s business and our client’s experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to research complex regulatory subjects
  • Strong technical and persuasive writing skills.
  • Some college level Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred
  • Ability to work within environment of demanding deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Comfort with reviewing, manipulating, and auditing data in Excel or Access
  • Must be flexible, having the ability to adapt to rapidly changing workloads and competing prioritizations
  • Superior planning and organizational skills, must be able to multi-task and be a self-starter
  • Willingness to occasionally work as needed to cover peak demand time periods outside a 40 hour work week
  • Comfort and experience establishing priorities and accomplishing multiple tasks with same or similar due dates
  • Previous experience with Post Entry submission and the Customs Reconciliation Entry process preferred
  • Tradewin has found that successful post entry specialists come from a variety of disciplines, but most often have strong written and verbal communication skills an come from a background in customs regulation, mathematics, finance, or auditing.
