Job Description

This position has operational and analytical responsibilities within Expeditors Global Treasury team including cash management, short-term investments, bank account management, foreign exchange, payment strategies, policy, and process development along with associated compliance.  The Treasury Analyst will be a part of the Global Treasury team and will support Expeditors and its U.S. domestic and international subsidiaries.  Other responsibilities include day to day processing, reconciling, analyzing and reporting on Treasury related transactions in support of Expeditors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the operational and analytical needs of Treasury including cash management, short-term investments, debt, derivatives, bank relationship management, foreign exchange, payment strategies, policy, process and program development along with the associated departmental and organizational compliance.
  • Responsible for driving and supporting day-to-day treasury operations activity which includes processing, reconciling, analyzing and reporting on Treasury related activity.
  • Manage bank account, authorized signer and purchase card processes, act as Treasury liaison with internal departments and assist with managing bank relationships and associated reviews.
  • Support Treasury manager with overall foreign exchange program management which includes purchase and/or hedging recommendations, foreign currency trading, back office support, analysis, forecasting, and overall performance management.
  • Builds, develops, supports and maintains treasury processes, policies and procedures with a key focus on internal controls.
  • Identifies and recommends strategic, tactical and operational improvements with a strong focus on business and operational workflow reengineering.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Excel for cash position, cash forecast and operational support particularly in the areas of foreign currency and letter of credit.
  • Perform, manage and monitor counterparty risk management reporting process.
  • Support the Treasury team on ad hoc projects and participate in the monthly close process.
  • Act as backup for the Treasury Manager on all Treasury related needs during times of absence.

Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability

Required

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments
  • Previous operations experience in a treasury or finance department or financial Institution preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to drive results in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and operates with a high degree of accuracy
