Job Description

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, forward-looking analysis at the intersection between geopolitics, the global economy and supply chain strategy. In that vein, you will be responsible for leading our in-depth analysis on key strategic-level topics in Asia-Pacific impacting global firms including the future of intra-Asian trade, demographic shifts, political environment, and domestic politics in several nations in South and Southeast Asia, trends in infrastructure investment and China’s Belt and Road initiative as well as ASEAN’s future outlook.

You will also play a critical role in the development and delivery of high-caliber projects for clients at the global C-Suite level, with focus on corporate strategy planning and supply chain strategy development. You will leverage your experience in strategic-level projects to produce world-class, high-impact deliverables in support of our clients’ global business objectives and aspirations.

You will work collaboratively with regional and functional counterparts to proactively identify critical trends in Asia-Pac's economic and political landscapes and their impact on the overall business and global strategy of leading global companies. Building on your collaborative approach and keen networking skills, you will partner with colleagues across the firm to establish sophisticated cross-functional and cross-regional analysis. As a leader in the team, you will also be responsible for developing and mentoring junior analysts in the Asia practice.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing C-level client engagements, in particular corporate and supply-chain strategy planning support.
  • Producing high-caliber analytic content for publication at a regular cadence.
  • Providing thought leadership through the identification and forecasting of key Asia-Pac geopolitical and macroeconomic issues and their impact on clients' global strategy, goals and aspirations.
  • Exemplifying team leadership through mentorship and training of junior analysts. 

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Professional experience in Asia-Pac required, preferably in a top global company or consulting firm.
  • Proven ability to help drive C-level strategy projects, including managing  workstreams, structuring analyses and workplan, developing actionable client insights and communicating with corporate leadership.
  • Proven analytic expertise linking political and economic developments in Asia-Pac to corporate strategy and business outcomes for global companies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative working style, as you will be required to work closely with other leads and the parent company.
  • Creative and innovative mind: outside-the-box thinking to develop strategic insights that help our clients prepare for unforeseen risks and take advantage of unexpected opportunities.
  • Proven analytic expertise in the region (Southeast Asia focus preferred) and functional expertise in political economy

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree: International Relations, Asian Studies, Political Science, International Trade, Business, Engineering or related fields of study.
  • 5+ years relevant professional experience, preferably in a top global company or consulting firm.
