Job Description

To lead the Branch´s compliance strategy and ensure CHB product is meeting the required quality standards, align with Mexico Regional Compliance Vision thus being consistent in every aspect of the initiatives.

Qualifications

Knowledge:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years industry experience (specific to Mexican Customs)
• Experience interacting with government agencies
• Knowledge on Mexican customs law and regulations
Skills:
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, time management skills

Additional Information

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management
• Develop and implement a robust compliance program for the district
• Participate in Regional compliance projects to implement or communicate at the local level
Personnel and Employee Development
• Ensure that local CHB team has the proper training, all required certifications, and constant compliance-based trainings
• Participate in Regional compliance training as instructor when required
• Work to ensure a solid number 2
Customs Compliance
• Ensure pedimento audits are being carried out as per the Operational Process Standards Manual and follow up results on monthly scorecards include 3rd party Agents
• To support, establish and implement corrective actions as required
• Local management and operations follow the regional procedures regarding set up of new clients in MAS System
• Ensure that MAS customer profile and parts database are being used at 100%
Fines and Penalties
• Ensure that all issues with Customs authority are being properly and timely notified to the Regional Compliance Team
• Support and follow up Legal defense process until cases are settle
• Review Regional Compliance monthly statistics on fines and penalties
Information and Training
• Ensure District is kept up to date on the latest Customs developments
• Ensure District has adequate technical or legal reference materials either in print or web based
• Ensure adequate training is provided to the district either by internal courses or external classes
Sales/Marketing
• Provide support to Sales team when required
• Participate in Focus Groups or Sales seminars when requiredll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
