Job Description

Scope of Position:     

Performing daily accounts payable activities mainly process incoming invoices on a daily basis and   making sure they are paid on a timely basis. Making sure the exceptions on the invoices are been solved quickly with having good interaction between de several departments. Checking statements and provide feedback to the vendors / carriers about their outstanding invoices.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain service provider account in GCI system
  • Record payable header in accounting systems upon receipt and distribute to ops department for allocation details.
  • Review and submit payable detail in accounting system, ensuring it is matched against the appropriate provision.
  • Build good relationships with Vendors in order to accomplish efficient process changes
  • Timely pay invoices to our service provider/ carriers in order to maintain our credit.
  • Checking and provide feedback towards our service providers / carriers aging.
  • Prepare and support supervisor with creating and follow up on the BNP rapport
  • Weekly 1 on 1 meeting with Operational departments as needed
  • Support Accounting Department with miscellaneous projects and assignments

 Knowledge:

  •  Expeditors training and company policies
  •  Expeditors systems and procedures

Skills:

  • Must have solid intermediate level Excel skills
  • Good data entry and computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize a demanding workload
  • Telephone Skills
  • Effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Good Customer Service

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent experience
  • Strong analysis skills
  • Very detailed orientated
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • 1-2 years experience in Accounts Payable
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Aptitude for learning new software applications
  • Process improvement driven
