Expeditors is seeking a Senior Accountant - Tax to join its US Tax Team. This position requires working from an Expeditors office in the US with immigration qualifications to work in the US; a hybrid or remote work environment is not available. This position will prepare/review state income tax filings, personal property tax filings, indirect tax filings, defend filing positions in audit proceedings, and will assist in income tax research & analysis. This position may work from any location in the US that has an Expeditors office, with multiple locations in the metro Seattle area.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.

• Minimum two years of experience in public accounting and/or industry preparing corporate income tax, sales & use tax and property tax returns.

• Technically proficient and have strong accounting and analytical skills.

• Experience in tax controversy preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (specifically Excel), electronic tax compliance systems (preferably, CorpTax), and financial query tools (preferably, Hyperion Financial).
