Job Description

Supply Chain Solutions

There are three primary areas of focus for the Manager described below. In addition to these, the Manager will be required to take on additional assignments as required to support company needs.

 

Lead Supply Chain Solutions Service & Manage Customer Engagements

  • Create and maintain the strategy for the region while aligning with global Services
  • Develop and deploy the process and mechanism that measures SCS contribution to business development and project performance goals
  • Design and implement tools and processes that enable the field to conduct light supply chain assessments and appropriate bid analysis
  • Create an environment that promotes regional consistency and sharing of best practices
  • Provides leadership and expertise with regards to project execution throughout project lifecycle
  • Provide regular and timely communication with branch, regional and global leadership
  • Drive and develop pipeline tied to Supply Chain Solutions opportunities.

 

Support Business Development and Retention Efforts

  • Develop resources for use by sales, account management and product to:
    • proactively position Supply Chain Solutions capabilities with our customers
    • develop ideas on how to improve customers’ network performance, enabling Expeditors to expand our relationship with them and increase their loyalty to us
  • Work in conjunction with Regional Leadership, District Leaders, product and pricing employees to identify, develop and own improvement opportunities leading to revenue streams.
  • Actively engage on RFQ positioning and strategy. Support RFQ/Bid response deadlines.
  • Provide supply chain thought leadership that enables the company to differentiate and add value to the overall “Expeditors experience”
  • Perform data and supply chain analysis and produce simulated alternatives for our customers and company.
  • Take on additional assignments as required, supporting company needs

 

Manage Knowledge of Supply Chain Best Practices through:

  • Develop and deploy relevant supply chain education for internal consumption that expands fluency in Expeditors supply chain capabilities and be able to assess and diagnose opportunities with our customers
  • Develop and deploy relevant supply chain education for customers that positions Expeditors as essential partner in their organization’s success
  • Demonstrate deep supply chain domain knowledge and participate in initiatives to expand enterprise wide supply chain skills and their application in needs assessment and solution development
  • Learn and articulate the current and emerging requirements from the market for solutions that will broaden our impact with our customers
  • Support expansion of published resources on Insite

Qualifications

  • Ability to independently apply creativity and problem-solving skills to drive improvement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English with ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels.  Proficient in French is a plus.
  • Time management skills, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work productively, both individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to define, develop, and document business processes and procedures.
  • Good appreciation of the Microsoft Office software suite.

Can be based anywhere in Europe South West Region - France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium.
