Job Description

The Transportation Operations Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of people, carriers and facilities. Their ability to understand and communicate customer needs to multiple stakeholders is crucial to the success of the overall organization. Their dynamic personality, strong organizational skills, and positive attitude creates meaningful relationships with cross functional teams allowing for greater efficiencies and process improvements. Their integrity, creativity and reliability give the customer peace of mind that no obstacle is too difficult to overcome.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and collaborate with multiple warehouses, carriers and service providers
Track and trace position of vehicles and containers to optimize productivity and costs
Analyze performance data and identify process improvements opportunities
Manage and influence corrective actions for ongoing delivery issues/opportunities
Assist with transportation trend analysis
Create and give presentations on carrier and warehouse performance
Proactively approach and resolve supply chain bottlenecks
Provide support for the Over, Short + Damage (OS&D) shipments as well as assistance in the Claims process and packaging recommendations
Update and document standard operating procedures

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements:

Must be available Saturday and Sunday 6am-3pm. MTW, 5pm-2am
Must be eighteen years of age or older
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Must be fluent in English
2-3 Years of Transportation & Logistics related experience

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2-3 years of transportation, logistics and/or supply chain preferred

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles
