Job Description

Scope of Position:

Files and monitors ISF via the ISF web-based tool in expo to ensure it is filed timely and accurately based on the procedures outlined in the ISF-SOP’s.  Works with Importers and Expeditors' origin offices to setup ISF filing procedures.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.

  • Monitor the JFK-ISF centralized mailbox daily
  • File ISF for Customs Brokerage only accounts
  • Monitor EIO filings to ensure they are in ready status
  • Monitor EIO -IHO (Importer hand off) pending filings
  • File surety-D type bonds when needed
  • Monitor the ISF work flow monitor daily
  • Assist with ISF reporting as needed
  • Assist with ISF-SOP’s as needed
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues when needed

 

TRAINING

  • Obtain at least 52 hours of training per year
  • Obtain at least 26 hours of On The Job Training per year
  • Complete all legally & annually required training by branch deadline

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure ISF filings are filed timely to avoid customs penalties
  • Ensure all processes are executed within in accordance with the OPS manual

 

Qualifications

Experience:  Must be able to type accurately, follow oral and written directions, and have attention to detail.  Must also be computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel and email programs is essential.
                                                         

Education: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
