Job Description

SUMMARY

The Data Centers Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of our ever-growing interconnected network. As a member of a Data Centers’ Systems Team, the Network Engineer will configure and support the Expeditors global and local networks, connections that are critical to the support of Expeditors branch infrastructure and global operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a collaborative member of a highly motivated and agile team
  • Develop and maintain self-service technology and monitoring systems
  • Apply technical skills in the design, development, integration, and testing of networking components
  • Maintain good development practices to promote quality, encapsulation, abstraction, and reusability of code
  • Develop and maintain industry standard security practices

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, in a multi-site network
  • Experience in Enterprise level WAN administration
  • Experience designing and administering network environments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Big-IP LTM/GTM configuration
  • Experience with Windows and UNIX operating systems
  • Cisco wireless configuration and troubleshooting experience
  • CCNA/CCNP certifications
  • Experience with SD-WAN configurations
