Job Description

Scope of Position:  

Core mission is to drive revenue growth in all Healthcare Solutions offerings of the Cargo Signal product, with deep penetration into the healthcare sector which is rich with existing target accounts that consume sensor-based logistics services, including both pharmaceutical companies and healthcare device companies.   The Business Development Manager - Healthcare role within Cargo Signal is accountable to drive revenue growth in Healthcare-related business for Cargo Signal.  Achieves success by direct sales efforts and sales channel partnerships.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate relationships and a collaborative sales process using resources including but not limited to healthcare packaging companies and healthcare transportation providers
  • Establish credibility with organizations that maintain a quality management system
  • Engage in sensor data and science-based solution design discussions with clients
  • Participate as an active member and knowledge leader in healthcare professional organizations with the highest level of professional integrity (for example, the PDA)
  • Maintain an active target board of opportunities in the healthcare industry
  • Participate in the creation of value-added solutions including supporting materials and cost-benefit calculations
  • Execute marketing initiatives focusing on the unique needs of the healthcare market
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork.
  • Support Accounts Receivable collection as an escalation point when needed
  • Provide market feedback to inform Cargo Signal Product Development and Leadership on future enhancements to service and technology offerings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years combined experience in sales, business development, or consulting services in the healthcare industry (which could include relevant sales and/or quality management experience within or supporting pharmaceutical and/or healthcare device companies)
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and growth
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, resolve conflict, and drive resolution of complex business challenges in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Must have both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process
  • Ability to develop relationships and work extensively at the executive level
  • The position requires domestic and international travel
