TRANSCON is Expeditors' multimodal, domestic, and intracontinental transportation and delivery services.

Service offerings for Transcon is targeted to domestic customers that (a) require value-added, white glove, and time definite services; (b) need local customer service representation at both pickup and delivery locations; and (c) bundle value-added and delivery services for customers currently utilizing other Expeditors products.

Job Description

Responsible for promoting and growing the Transcon Product (domestic transportation) for the West Region of the Americas geography through direct sales and marketing activities.

Provide knowledge, support, and guidance to Sales, Product Managers and Account Managers to enhance Expeditors business activity and market position.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten years domestic freight forwarding experience.

Proven experience running a successful branch or region. 

Strong sales development skills within all areas of a customer’s organization. 

Must be proficient in company's CRM system

Strong foundation/background in managing some or all of the following areas of a domestic freight forwarding operation:  P&L, metrics, personnel, customer satisfaction, carrier routing, service provider management, etc.

Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.

Detailed Responsibilities

Manage a set of named accounts across the West region of the United States (applicant will be domiciled in one of these offices:  Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or Dallas) and work together with the 13 district offices in this region on penetrating and closing the business.  

Involvement in business development through support and involvement in creating solutions with the districts.

Ensure the delivery of market competitive pricing and alignment with the pricing.             

Analyze customer programs to develop strategic solutions for increased sales with new and existing accounts

Support Service Provider Management by aligning service providers with Transcon solutions

Participate in the transition and implementation of closed accounts to ensure consistent and accurate services are provided.
