Job Description
Tradewin, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Expeditors, is an innovative, growth-orientated global trade firm providing consulting services to businesses in a wide variety of industry sectors. We are currently looking to fill a key role in Tradewin’s European practice. The offered position is Consultant. The Consultant will be engaged in a wide variety of compliance-related functions, including:
Import and Export Assessments of our client’s business
ECN Classification and Licensing Applications
Preparing and Submitting BTI Requests
Preferential Trade Agreement Qualification
Customs Valuation
Authorised Economic Operator Validations
Auditing and Writing Customs Procedures
Customs research
The Consultant will also be instrumental in sales and development of the practice, with duties including, but not limited to:
Actively developing business for the practice through involvement in sales and retention process and close coordination with Expeditors network
Building and presenting seminars throughout the Expeditors network
Make joint sales calls with Expeditors sales and account management staff
Actively manage and grow the practices sales pipeline
Build strong relationships with Expeditors offices and existing client
base
General Job Requirements
• Maintain complete and accurate records on client projects
• Actively review regulatory updates for Compliance topics
• Participate in improving and documenting internal processes
• Participate in development and continuous improvement of Tradewin products
• Communicate professionally with both internal and external customers
Qualifications
5+ years of Trade and Customs Compliance Experience
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent
Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, Dutch, German, or French is a plus.
Ability to manage a diverse workload and engage in an innovative cross-functional team environment with excellent writing skills (sentence structure, grammar, varied vocabulary, style, spelling, consistency, and attention to detail)
Computer Skills (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Superior organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Ability to Travel
Superior analytical skills
