Job Description
As a Junior Reconciliation Officer, you will be responsible for daily reconciliations, investigating variances, and ensuring accurate recording of client funds in the accounting system. Your role supports financial accuracy and integrity, playing a critical part in tracking costs and identifying discrepancies. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of finance are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations of accounts and client funds to ensure records match accurately within the accounting system.
Variance Analysis: Investigate discrepancies and variances in financial accounts, working to resolve issues promptly.
Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately record and update financial information, maintaining organized records for compliance and audits.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports summarizing reconciliation findings and provide insights to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in reconciliation, accounting, or financial analysis.
Familiarity with reconciliation processes, data entry, and variance analysis in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge in accounting and financial software, such as SAP, or similar systems.
Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions).
Knowledge of reconciliation tools and systems is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify discrepancies.
Effective communication skills to work with finance teams and explain findings.
