**This is an immediate need** Seeking candidates local to the Dallas TX area.
Immediate need for hands on Building Engineer with a willingness to work as part of a collective team. Expected to keep updated on the latest industry trends and techniques along with safety best practices and OSHA standards.
Role and Responsibilities
· Performs preventative maintenance to HVAC and mechanical equipment and/or supervises current third-party contracts for services.
· Ability to troubleshoot building pumps, fire safety systems, HVAC and electrical systems
· Present information to vendors, tenants, and management staff. Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
· Electrical - Repair, replacement or installation of power switches, fuses sockets, ceiling lights, and climate control systems
· Review contractor bids, complete bid comparisons, negotiate /make final recommendations.
· Plumbing - Installation of faucets, pipes, and hot water tanks, etc
· Requires knowledge of financial terms, principles, and understanding of operating budgets.
· Communicates with tenants and vendors in a prompt professional manner
· On Call responsibilities requiring ability to work after hours and weekends
· Needs great time management skills. Will maintain an organized scheduling and tracking system to effectively complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner and in order of priority/ urgency.
· Maintain Impak Work Order system
Qualifications
· 5+ years experience in commercial office, retail, and/or industrial building systems. ( includes electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC)
· SMT / SMA Designations or equivalent preferred
· Additional certification in one or more of: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing
· Construction knowledge
· EMS and BMS experience preferred
· Computer skills
