Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Payroll Specialist to assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, ensure
accurate employee data management, and respond to staff enquiries. The
Payroll Specialist must have excellent attention-to-detail, strong
communication skills, and extensive knowledge of local, state, federal, and
international payroll regulations to ensure error-free processing.
 
Primary responsibilities:


*        Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing utilizing third-party
payroll service.

*        Maintain accurate and complete employee files, ensuring that new
records and data updates distribute through related systems.

*        Ensure compliance with and access to current forms, legal postings,
and employment notices; and notify insurance carriers.

*        Provide standard reporting with payroll processing and customized
reporting as requested.

*        Provide excellent customer service in response to employee questions
in-person, by phone, and by email, escalating to supervisor as necessary.

*        Collaborate with human resources team and interdepartmental staff
for process review and improvement.

*        Manage relationships with third-party processors and other vendors.

*        Assist with managing payroll records and document storage
procedures.

*        Perform other duties as requested.

Experience and qualifications:


*        A minimum of 5 years of experience with third-party payroll
processing for 400+ US employees, international payroll a plus

*        Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred


*        Excellent computer skills and experience with Windows: MS Office,
Google Apps, and third-party payroll processors: Paychex (preferred), ADP,
or others

*        Strong understanding of payroll processing procedures and wage and
hour compliance

*        Track record of success meeting regular deadlines

*        Experience maintaining confidentiality about employee data,
including compensation

*        Exceptional attention-to-detail for error-free processing and
accurate documentation

Administrative Assistant


*PAY: $12.00,  Temp to Hire

*        Daily payroll for a 15+ Service Center
       
       
Customer Service Skills/2nd on phones
       
Taking service orders over the phone
       
Calling out to Customers after each invoiced job to make sure everything
went well
       
Data entry for field performance bonus *filing *material ordered *sending
out Customer gifts (via UPS log book) and thank you cards.
