Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of forward-deployed engineering engagements across business and platform domains, ensuring successful delivery of measurable outcomes.

• Partner directly with executive business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities, conduct technical discovery, and translate complex requirements into scalable production-ready solutions.

• Define and enhance forward deployment methodologies, engagement standards, delivery playbooks, and transition frameworks.

• Drive a reuse-first engineering culture by creating reusable patterns, reference architectures, and platform contributions.

• Establish and maintain engineering quality standards, including secure-by-design practices, observability, testability, and operational readiness.

• Define scalable processes for transitioning solutions from prototype through production and long-term ownership.

• Collaborate with architecture, security, compliance, and senior technology leadership teams to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and governance.

• Identify platform improvement opportunities and influence future engineering roadmaps.

• Mentor, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams while fostering technical excellence.

• Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, platform engineering, and regulated delivery environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

• 14+ years of software engineering and technical leadership experience.

• Proven experience owning production systems and leading large-scale enterprise delivery initiatives.

• Strong expertise designing and building backend services, APIs, and scalable distributed systems.

• Experience working across architecture, platform, data, and application layers.

• Ability to operate effectively in highly regulated industries such as financial services.

AI & Modern Technology Experience

The ideal candidate should have experience with modern AI application architectures and production-grade implementations, including:

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Semantic Search

• Agent-Based Systems

• Generative AI Solutions

• AI-Powered Workflow Automation

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in one or more of the following technologies:

•             Java

•             Python

•             JavaScript / TypeScript

• API design and systems integration

• Secure software engineering practices

• Modern application frameworks

• Containerization technologies

• Production-grade AI platforms and solutions

Preferred Experience

• Building or scaling Forward Deployment, Solutions Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Customer Engineering organizations.

• Delivering AI, data, workflow, or platform-driven solutions in regulated environments.

• Creating engineering standards, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), operational frameworks, and reusable infrastructure patterns.

• Strong systems-thinking and architectural decision-making capabilities.

Leadership Requirements

• Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and matrixed organizations without direct authority.

• Strong strategic thinking, product mindset, and business acumen.

• Experience balancing speed, risk, governance, and long-term scalability.
