Job Description
The Audio Video (AV) Specialist is primarily responsible for the Audio Video aspects of project builds and the ongoing maintenance of the studios' AV elements, as well as will assist with overall studio construction and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- To plan, configure, install and maintain studio audio-video components and infrastructure (cameras,lights,microphones, AV processing units, cabling and connectors, mounts and gear, etc.).
- To establish and refine AV related installation and maintenance processes. To make recommendations related to AV related topics.
- To assist with the overall construction and maintenance of the studios and their equipment, (gaming tables, low-voltage cabling, lights, decorative elements, studio floor infrastructure, etc.).
- To assist in establishment and refinement of work processes, resource planning, time and material management, etc.
- To request, order, maintain and be responsible for the equipment, tools and materials.
Qualifications
- Secondary (higher, technical) education or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrable experience working with audio-video technology, hardware, software.
- Understanding of audio-video concepts and practices (e.g. Audio EQ and mixing, analog/digital signal processing and rack mount gear, light/color balance, aperture settings, aspect ratios, video switching, frame rates, etc.).
- Ability to create and terminate SDI and XLR cables are a desired asset. Experience with DANTE audio systems is considered as a significant advantage.
- Experience in using hand and power tools.
- Experience in working with assorted building materials (e.g. wood, metal, tile, plastic, carpet, etc.)
- Basic understanding of electricity and electrical wiring concepts. Experience in soldering and terminating low-voltage cables are a desired asset.
- Willingness and ability to travel occassionally (within the LatAm and abroad).
