Job Description

THE ROLE
We are scaling our ETL process based on SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) with specific requirements:
- Consistent data integration processes across our different clients
- Automated data audit and validation processes
- Development and deployment of a new ETL job workflow
- Reliable error/exception handling and rollback
- Development of standards and sound procedural practices.
Our new "ETL developer", as part of the IT team, will be responsible in developing, alongside our senior developer, new SSIS packages on SQL Server 2017.
This role requires a deep understanding of data structures and a strong working knowledge of databases, data warehousing and SQL.
This task includes extraction of information from customer and web data, analysis of   requirements, complex data sources and data models, design of the best ETL methods.
We require professional experience in idea generation, rapid turnaround time on code review and feedback, and awareness of best practices to deliver rapid results which can be sustained over time.

Qualifications

• Individual freelancer(s) with demonstrable years in ETL process development work, using Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools, with deep and thorough hands-on use of SSIS
• Experience with various components of SQL Server (administration, configuration, performance tuning)
• Experience in SQL and database tuning skills for relational platforms
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills in English, including the ability to instruct and explain technical processes
• Max 24hrs response time, with constant communication in English for mutual feedback
• Availability to answer our screening test
