Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Planning team in Southampton. As an integral part of our financial planning department, you will be required to business develop and grow new business across the South region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small (4 person team) in the South, the region is very broad and covers Hampshire, some of Dorset & Sussex - we can be flexible around where you are located as long as you can come to the Southampton office once or twice a week. We would also be interested in speaking to you if you are looking at FP level with the ambition to become Director in the future.
As a Director Financial Planning your responsibilities will include among others:-
- Enthusiastically build and develop new client relationships through effective ongoing business development
- Ensure client files are carefully maintained with client details regularly updated where needed
- To plan, implement and execute the annual Business Plan
- Take responsibility for supporting the growth of the business, working with the director/partner group on key commercial pillars.
- To work in partnership with Investment Management (IM) to develop client relationships.
- Structure and lead client meetings ensuring all information and advice is accurate
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis
- Ability to understand and communicate advice practices and processes clearly and effectively. Required
- A strong ethic of client and customer service Required
- Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work Required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Required
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
- Hold a relevant level 4 qualification or above (ideally Level 6) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
- Experience of managing a team would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience of developing new business / have a client network in the South region
- Experience of relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
