Position Summary

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Leading all operational duties of the Financial Reporting team. Coaching, developing and maintaining a high performing team.
  • Set and maintain Group accounting requirements. This includes associated accounting standards  and polices. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Support Group with acquisitions, disposals, JV opportunities and other transformation activities for financial reporting compliance.
  • Key contact with external auditors to ensure smooth external reporting. Navigate and stay ahead of continued developments in reporting and assess the Group’s needs.
  • Monitor and maintain timely oversight of accounting judgements. Able to identify, constructively challenge and timely resolve accounting and audit issues. Provide practical and robust solutions.
  • Contribute to Audit Committee papers and support Investor relations on financial results and key judgements.
  • Lead the financial consolidation, and manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process in a timely manner.
  • Work in close cooperation with the FP&A, Shared Service Centre and Treasury teams to deliver timely financial reports, statements and forecasts.
  • Support international local teams with the completion of annual local statutory audits  and submission of monthly data in accordance with IFRS. Develop and maintain the Group Accounting Manual.
  • Lead Group rationalisation project.
  • Proactively drive process improvements, standardization and simplification to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the team. Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Manage relationships and liaise with senior stakeholders both internally and externally across various functions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong financial control environment by challenging existing procedures and processes and designing, implementing and improving controls as necessary. Oversee balance sheet control and associated risk management.
  • Ad hoc project work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MIA).
  • External audit experience is a must.
  • Big-4 public accounting and multinational corporate experience in Statutory Reporting with strong knowledge of external financial reporting regulation, Group Reporting Manual and Group Account Policies.
  • Experience in leading, developing and coaching teams.
  • Experience of reporting processes and SAP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Team player with strong management skills.
