THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN...

A Payroll Specialist is a professional who is responsible for processing all aspects of payroll, ensuring defect-free inputs including communication with payroll provider. Payroll Specialist work closely with different departments within the company, to increase performance and ensure smooth operations.

A right candidate can utilize HRIS and payroll system with accuracy and efficiency, is data driven, comfortable with the numbers and Excel at communication.
 

YOU WILL DO:

  • Consolidation of the time and attendance data, reporting on it and applying corrections.
  • Submit and report on allowances & deductions, communicate those with relevant departments (Finance, HR).
  • Follow and maintain the standard of a proper approval from upper managements towards relevant payments.
  • Support Employees in tax related queries.
  • Benefit administration.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports based on the business needs.
  • Closely collaborate with HR Generalist team to ensure quality and timeline for pay inputs.
  • Communicate with Employees and stakeholders on payroll related matters.
  • Participate and suggest process improvements.

Qualifications

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role working with payroll and/or financial administration.
  • A Secondary level Degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred, university education is a plus.
  • You’ll bring comprehensive understanding of payroll ‘best practices’, can explain a payslip in detail and know in reality how ’split payroll’ works. You'll have some experience with processing payroll at European countries besides Czech Republic.
  • Data accuracy: You’ll be the go-to person for payroll issues, insurances, deductions, extra payments, etc. You love working with data/numbers and are very good at it.
  • Excellent computer skills: including the use of Excel/BI as an analytical and reporting tool. High-level analytical skills.
  • Confidence: You’ve done this before and you know where to find the right answers. This is a role for someone who’s excited about tackling complex questions.
  • Outstanding Communication skills: in Czech and English. You enjoy interdepartmental collaboration and working with all our employees.
  • Team Player: A unique individual, hopefully with a bit of humour, a lot of patience and a service minded attitude. A true team player who’s up for a challenge. Responsive, and able to manage multiple conflicting priorities at any time. Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment. Meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to operate with spreadsheets, calculations and payroll systems. Solid understanding of different benefit plans (retirement, international pension and life, and health insurance etc.) and relevant regulations.
