Weekly tasks include:

  • Preparation of buffers, maintenance of instruments, tracking of work orders, sanitization of chromatographic columns, detailed record-keeping, preparation of reports, and inventory maintenance.
  • Hands-on support of the protein expression group is expected on occasion.
  • The candidate will also collaborate with the protein characterization group, as well as other teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in research-scale (up to 100 mg) affinity-based FPLC protein purification chromatography.
  • Proven knowledge of the application of affinity, charge-based, and size-exclusion protein separation techniques.
Proficiency in protein characterization techniques and protein-based assays such as Bradford protein quantitation, UV-Vis spectroscopy, SDS-PAGE, and Western blotting.
A strong command of aseptic technique and sterile cell culture performed in a biosafety cabinet to maintain aseptic conditions is expected.
The work requires effective communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to collaborate with others. Meticulous attention to detail is required when following SOPs.
