Job Description

Eurofins is seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager to join its growing tax department. This role will be responsible for managing the Company's quarterly income tax reporting process, supporting outsourced income tax compliance and year-end tax provision activities, and serving as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external tax advisors.

This position offers significant exposure to acquisitions, legal entity restructurings, tax accounting, and multinational operations within a fast-growing organization

Tax Manager Duties Include but are not Limited to the Following:

Tax Accounting (ASC 740)

  • Prepare and maintain quarterly effective tax rate (ETR) analyses and income tax provision calculations for interim financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Finance, and business stakeholders to obtain information necessary for quarterly tax reporting.
  • Analyze significant book-to-tax adjustments, permanent items, and discrete tax items impacting the quarterly provision.
  • Assist with preparation of tax-related financial statement disclosures.
  • Support external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Monitor tax law developments and assess impacts on tax reporting and financial statements.

Corporate Income Tax Compliance & Year-End Provision Support

  • Manage and coordinate information requests from external advisors related to federal, state, and local income tax compliance.
  • Serve as the primary internal coordinator for annual income tax return and year-end tax provision workstreams performed by external advisors.
  • Review key tax deliverables prepared by external advisors, including tax returns, estimated tax calculations, and supporting analyses.
  • Track tax filing deadlines, extensions, estimated tax payments, and compliance obligations.
  • Coordinate responses to federal and state tax notices and audits.

Advisor Management & Tax Operations

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external tax advisors, including RSM and other service providers.
  • Coordinate and manage PBC requests across Accounting, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and business teams.
  • Monitor deliverables, timelines, and project status to ensure timely completion of tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain tax calendars, process documentation, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reporting, and data collection.

Special Projects

  • Support tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and legal entity restructurings.
  • Support state tax nexus reviews and business expansion initiatives.
  • Participate in special tax projects, process improvements, and tax technology initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Work Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in corporate taxation or public accounting
  • Strong ASC 740 knowledge
  • Experience coordinating complex tax reporting and compliance processes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is full-time hybrid working Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, and additional hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance to Des Moines, IA are encouraged to apply.
