Job Description

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. 

The purpose of this position will be to manage the collection, delivery team and the fleet associated with the Feltham site. 

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16:30. 

  • Ensuring highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained across the logistics team, reporting and investigating all incidents and accidents within the safety portal.
  • Ensure effective management of temperature control environments, through the calibration of probes and profiling of vans.
  • Manage and audit all aspects of logistics work and procedures to ensure consistent delivery across team.
  • Co-operate with the investigation and resolution of customer issues relating to the business unit.
  • Monitor all spend and review with Logistics management.
  • Co-ordination of the logistics team absence ensuring continued effective delivery of required tasks.
  • Manage co-ordination of sample collection routes to ensure efficient use of company resources delivering an efficient and effective service supporting both clients and laboratories.
  • Liaison with third party chilled couriers to facilitate any additional requirements.
  • Direct client liaison regarding collections providing updates when required.
  • Internal communication with other Eurofins departments to facilitate logistics requirements.
  • Out of hours cover for logistics team, a shred approach in place.
  • Processing and reporting of data as required for logistics team.
  • Management of the Eurofins fleet at home site, ensuring all vehicles are serviced and compliant.
  • Ensure effect and efficient use of sample drop off locations.
  • Daily management of the logistics team for the home site, as well as covering absence for logistics management at other sites.
  • Recruitment and induction of newly recruited drivers.
  • Performance management of team.
  • Monitoring of logistics team on road behaviour via digital platforms.
  • Cover for the Logistics manager where required.

Qualifications

  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Background in logistics particularly in transport planning and fleet management. 
  • People and performance management skills. 
  • Experience Transport planning and fleet management
  • Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft packages. 
  • Experience using Telematics systems and Traffic management systems. 
  • Excellent communication and people skills. 
  • Highly Organised with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement focused.
