Job Description
Eurofins Scientific grows aggressively through acquisition, adding dozens of companies to its network annually across life sciences, food & feed, environmental, and diagnostics testing. The VP of Integrations will own the post-close integration lifecycle for acquired companies ensuring newly acquired businesses are integrated efficiently into Eurofins' operating model while preserving the entrepreneurial performance culture that makes those businesses valuable in the first place.
This is a high-visibility, high-growth role. The successful candidate will develop deep fluency across Eurofins' network of business lines, systems, and leadership, positioned to progress into a President or SVP General Manager role within a defined timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Integration
- Lead end-to-end integration planning and execution for acquired companies, from due diligence handoff through Day 1 readiness and first 100-day stabilization
- Build and manage integration playbooks covering finance, HR, IT/ERP, facilities, compliance, and commercial systems
- Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, and Finance during diligence to flag integration risk and cost prior to close
- Own integration governance timelines, workstream owners, milestone tracking, and executive reporting
Company Performance
- Assess acquired company performance against pre-close projections and Eurofins operating benchmarks
- Identify synergy opportunities (cost, revenue, procurement, shared services) and drive realization against target
- Work with acquired company leadership to adopt Eurofins financial reporting, KPI, and operating cadences without disrupting client-facing operations
- Monitor post-integration performance for 12–24 months post-close, intervening where businesses underperform integration plan
Cross-Functional & Network Development
- Build relationships across Eurofins business units (Food & Feed, Environmental, PSS Insourcing, Genomics, Clinical Diagnostics, etc.) to understand network capabilities, shared services, and best-practice transfer opportunities
- Act as a connective layer between newly acquired leadership teams and the broader Eurofins global network
- Represent integration function in regional and global leadership forums
Growth Trajectory
This role is explicitly designed as a development pipeline into General Management. Over [18–36 months], the incumbent is expected to build sufficient network fluency, P&L exposure, and cross-BU credibility to progress into a higher role role leading a business unit or regional cluster.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in M&A integration, corporate development, management consulting, or general management, ideally within a serial-acquirer, multi-site, or lab/scientific services environment
- Demonstrated experience integrating acquired companies at scale; not just diligence, but operational stand-up and performance turnaround
- P&L literacy; comfort moving between financial, operational, and cultural integration issues
- Strong stakeholder management across decentralized, multi-country organizations
- Track record of being identified as high-potential / fast-track talent in a prior organization
- Willingness to travel across acquired-company sites
What Success Looks Like
- Newly acquired companies hit Day 100 milestones on time and on budget
- Synergy targets are met or exceeded within 12–18 months of close
- Acquired leadership teams report strong integration experience (retention of key talent)
- Candidate builds visible cross-network credibility, positioning for GM-track promotion
