Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Qualitype/eLIMS Forensics Programme, supporting the delivery of business-critical solutions across Forensic Case Management, DNA LIMS and Expert Reporting workstreams.

This is a key role within a complex and highly regulated transformation programme, working closely with operational subject matter experts, programme leadership and distributed delivery teams across the UK, Europe and nearshore locations. You will be responsible for eliciting, analysing and managing business requirements, ensuring that operational needs are translated into clear, structured and traceable requirements that support successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis and documentation across multiple programme workstreams.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand business processes, challenges and priorities.
  • Produce and maintain Business Requirements, User Requirements, process maps and supporting documentation.
  • Apply BPMN 2.0 to model and analyse business processes and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, testers and programme stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, prioritised and ready for delivery.
  • Support backlog refinement, change control, traceability and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Contribute to UAT planning and business acceptance activities.
  • Ensure requirements align with regulatory, quality, security and compliance obligations within a forensic environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within complex technology delivery or transformation programmes, with strong expertise in business requirements elicitation, requirements documentation, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, process analysis, BPMN 2.0 modelling, backlog management, change control, requirements traceability and Agile delivery practices. You should be confident working with tools such as Azure DevOps and/or Jira for backlog and requirements management.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and translate complex operational and business needs into clear, actionable requirements. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively across business, technical and leadership stakeholders in a fast-paced, multi-workstream environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in forensics, laboratory environments, LIMS, case management systems or other regulated, compliance-driven and process-intensive domains, where accuracy, traceability and quality are critical.

You should be collaborative, organised and detail-oriented, comfortable working in ambiguity, managing competing priorities and facilitating alignment across distributed teams in the UK and Europe.
