Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to perform duties commonly associated with Managing Director Material Science China, a similarly situated company, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Implementing the decision of the Executive Director, organizing and managing the daily operations of the Company, and submitting management reports to the Executive Director, including all relevant data on the Company's performance against the budget and explanations for all major deviations from the budget, as required by the Executive Director.
  • Driving Business growth profitably in line with the Company’s direction.
  • Submitting periodic written reports to the Executive Director on the income and expenditures of the Company together with suggestions for improvement.
  • Formulating rules and regulations for the operations and management of the Company and personnel, responsibilities and functions of each department, and implementing the same after approval by the Executive Director.
  • Responsible for the overall operations and management of Company.
  • Continuously improving efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in terms of Quality and TAT.
  • Proposing an organizational structure suitable for the needs of the Company's business employing and dismissing the Company's employees, and determining promotions and (subject to the approval of the Executive Director) salaries for the employees: and build and establish a sustainable team to ensure no disruption in business at any point of time.
  • Formulating employee training programs and implementing such programs following their examination and approval by the Executive Director.
  • Ability to perform any other duties the Employee may be instructed to carry out by the Employee's manager from time to time that are reasonably within the scope of the Employee's job position and work capabilities.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of successful experience in a leadership position – preferably sales - in a medium to large company.
  • Experience of full P&L responsibility for a business of over 5 M € / Year revenues is preferred.
  • Management experience of B to B sales in a Material Science domain would be most preferred
  • Alternatively, sales experience with a semiconductor equipment company or with materials science testing instruments is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to implement change across complex organization, overcome objections and  create change-agents at all levels
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and create relations of trust with teams, internal & external stakeholder and to lead them successfully through period of changes
  • Ability to create a vision and move the organization through transparent and team approach to translate strategy into business results

Education:

  • Masters degree required in the area of Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry, Physics
  • PhD degree highly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
