Job Description

The Bioprocess Lab Support Technician plays a critical role in supporting upstream bioprocessing and cell culture operations within a development laboratory. This position focuses on maintaining lab readiness, preparing equipment, and assisting scientific teams with experimental setup and execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in bioprocessing and biopharmaceutical development, particularly within mammalian cell culture environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces to support daily operations
  • Manage inventory of lab supplies, reagents, and consumables; coordinate reordering to maintain stock levels
  • Support upstream lab activities, including assembling 2L bioreactors for process development experiments
  • Autoclave glassware and bioreactors prior to cell culture use
  • Assist scientists with experimental setup and basic lab tasks
  • Maintain accurate documentation of lab activities and equipment usage
  • Collaborate with lab staff and support teams to ensure efficient workflow and lab readiness

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a laboratory environment (academic or industry)
  • Exposure to cell culture or aseptic technique is a plus
  • Experience with bioreactors (e.g., 2L scale), Nova Flex, or blood gas analyzers (BGA) is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures
  • Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with no prior experience required
  • Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
  • 45-60 Meeting In-Person. on-site to meet with the Team 

The position is on-site, full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes that may require shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Andover, MA, are encouraged to apply.
