Job Description
Eurofins Labtarna, located in Vilnius (Lithuania) delivers microbiology and chemistry testing primarily for Food & Feed customers across all the Baltic states. The company employs 30 qualified professionals and delivered 2.3mn EUR of revenue in 2025. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Managing Director to drive the Team and Company forward.
Kay accountabilities:
- Act as the statutory Managing Director (Direktorius) of the legal entity.
- Drive profitability of the legal entity and own P&L results.
- Act as the senior, commercial point of contact for key accounts.
- Oversee all commercial aspects from sales to customer service across the Baltic states.
- Manage operational performance of the locally provided testing services in terms of cost, quality and delivery time (TAT) in line with Customer requirements.
- Champion operational excellence improvement initiatives.
- Co-operate with other European Eurofins entities to ensure broadest possible testing offering for customers
- Build solid competency base for new testing processes and innovation.
- Assure alignment of the legal entity with Group and Business Line objectives and standards.
- Hold the personnel responsibility with a clear focus on engagement and capability development.
- Direct leadership of the management team including selection and performance management.
- Develop organizational culture aligned with Eurofins DNA and values.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
- Degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g. life science) or business/commercial.
- At least 5 years of sales or operations management experience preferably with a P&L accountability – commercial orientation is preferred.
- Experience from TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) is not required. We are open to candidates with industrial / manufacturing / pharma / complex services backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sound P&L / financial acumen.
- Critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Change management and business turn-around capabilities.
- Strong drive for results and hands-on way of working.
- Fluent Lithuanian and English.
