Job Description
The Product Manager is accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of the IT product “eLIMS-Clinical Diagnostic Europe”, from strategy and roadmap definition to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. The Product is the main target Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for our Clinical Diagnostics business in Europe and further business around the world.
The role represents the voice of the business and users, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, compliance, and cost efficiency.
The Product Manager works closely with business stakeholder and different IT roles (e.g. IT Architects, IT Developers, IT Deployment Manager, IT Operations Engineer, IT Quality Manager) to ensure products deliver measurable value, align with Eurofins strategy, and are sustainably operated.
POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and maintain the product vision, objectives, and value proposition.
- Translate business strategy into a clear product roadmap.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
- Own product success metrics (value, adoption, satisfaction, cost).
Stakeholder & Business Alignment
- Act as the single point of contact for the product.
- Collect, analyze, and prioritize business needs and user feedback.
- Facilitate decision-making between business, IT, and external partners.
- Communicate roadmap, priorities, and trade-offs transparently.
Backlog & Requirements Management
- Own and maintain the product backlog.
- Define and prioritize epics, features, and requirements based on value.
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and understood by delivery teams.
- Balance functional, non-functional, regulatory, and operational needs.
- Identify and document the business value of IT requirements
- Arbitrate with business sponsors the need and value of IT requirement
Delivery & Execution
- Work closely with delivery teams (internal or external) to plan and deliver increments.
- Support sprint planning, reviews, and demos as needed.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and quality standards.
- Validate outcomes with stakeholders and users.
Lifecycle, Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Manage the product across its full lifecycle (ideation → delivery → run → retirement).
- Collaborate with support and operations to ensure stable and efficient run.
- Identify improvement opportunities based on usage data, incidents, and feedback.
- Drive continuous optimization of value, cost, and user experience.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Support forecasting and budget tracking for the product.
- Contribute to business cases and cost/benefit analyses.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers where applicable.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular status updates and product reporting to stakeholders.
- Prepare dashboards on value, adoption, delivery progress, and risks.
- Lead or participate in Product Review / Steering meetings.
Qualifications
Professional Experience
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role in an IT environment.
- Strong understanding of software and IT product lifecycles.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Business, IT, Vendors).
- Familiarity with agile and/or hybrid delivery models like Scrum, SAFe etc.
Technical & Domain Knowledge
- A background in TIC (Testing Inspection Certification) industry and/or Healthcare is a plus
- A background in LIMS development is a plus
- Broad understanding of IT systems, applications, integrations, and data flows.
- Experience with ITSM and delivery tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Awareness of security, compliance, and regulatory constraints in enterprise IT.

- Ability to prioritize based on value, risk, and effort.
- Data-driven decision-making mindset.
- Experience translating business needs into actionable requirements.
