Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented Service Desk Engineer to join our multilingual team based in Barcelona, acting as the first point of contact for IT support and supporting a diverse community of users across Europe. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our laboratories, offices, and VIP users across more than 500 sites.
Working in a collaborative and international environment, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support and maintaining a positive user experience. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, identifying recurring issues, and supporting the development of internal processes and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first-line IT support to end users across Europe, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to Microsoft 365 applications and Windows 10/11 environments.
• Support identity and access management processes, including user account and permission management.
• Assist with printing services, patching activities, and basic application triage and routing.
• Log, categorise, and track incidents using ticketing systems.
• Escalate more complex issues to second-line support teams where necessary.
• Contribute to knowledge base and documentation improvements.
• Identify recurring issues and propose workarounds or long-term solutions.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about IT and bring at least 3 years of experience in a Service Desk or IT support environment. You should have solid troubleshooting skills, particularly in Windows systems and Microsoft 365, and be committed to delivering an excellent and inclusive user experience.
Strong communication skills in English, French, and Spanish are essential, along with a customer-focused mindset and a proactive, “can-do” attitude. You should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment and be motivated to learn and grow.
