Eurofins Electric & Electronic Product Testing AG is committed to improving health and product safety and offers its customers comprehensive testing and certification services in the areas of EMC, radio communication and electrical and mechanical product safety.

To manage and support the local IT infrastructure for our headquarter in Fehraltorf, including 3 entities, we are looking for a IT Field Support Agent.
 

Job Description

  • Oversee the management of our company’s laptops, desktops, network devices, printers, telephony (mobile and desk phone), laboratory instruments and servers (in the Regional Google datacenter) to ensure optimal performance, reliability and security
  • Diagnose and resolve local IT issues raised by level 1 and level 2 service tickets (BMC Helix tool), including hardware, software and connectivity problems, promptly to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations
  • Collaboration with responsible person level 1 in Regional Service Desk and level 3 in Regional Operational IT team) and level 4 (vendors)
  • Implement and enforce security protocols and manage account access, to safeguard against unauthorized access, data breaches and other security threats
  • Collaborate with IT teams (Regional, Group and Security) to plan, coordinate and execute upgrades, expansions and migration, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and adherence to project timelines
  • Responsible for our headquarter in Fehraltorf as well as entities in Neuenhof, Rorschach, and Rossens.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience (5x years) as an IT Manager or similar role, focusing on managing and supporting IT hardware and IT networks
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining IT equipment, including laptops, desktops and instrument PCs. Knowledge of routers, switches, wireless access points and firewalls would be an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20 %)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
