Company Description

In all countries where the Eurofins Group has significant presence, the Company has elected to pool a specific set of country level support services into a National Service Center (NSC), in order to be more efficient, more effective and to drive the adequate level of compliance and control. The NSC is led by the country Finance Director. The scope of services delivered by this organization covers:

  • Accounting and Reporting,
  • Payroll
  • Treasury, risk and Insurance management,
  • Tax,
  • Legal compliance,
  • IT solutions for all services rendered by the NSC,
  • Credit and collections (non-standard).

The Finance Reporting Manager reports to the National Finance Director.

The Finance Reporting Manager has a key role on our NSC, leading the Accounting and Reporting delivery.

 

Job Description

  • Accounting and Reporting
    • Coordinate preparation of all financial reports in accordance with local GAAP, IFRS and Eurofins Group’s requirements, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, departmental reports, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
    • Planning, organizing and coordinating year-end close processes including financial statement audit.
    • Assisting business controlling with the coordination of the annual budget process.
    • Financial integration of newly acquired companies and support the purchase accounting.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team (NSC or SSC GL accountants)
    • Support legal and business reorganizations and Group-wide projects and initiatives.
    • Support implementation of Eurofins Policies and procedures
    • Monitoring and interpreting actual results of financial data performing variance analysis and providing financial analysis in support of management decision making.
    • Critically assess current accounting operations and processes and implement best practices.
    • Evaluate and implement internal control systems and risk management processes.
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Tax and Treasury
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations (CIT incl. TP., VAT, payroll tax, WHT). Includes filing returns and tax reporting. Acting as the main point of contact to local tax authorities.
    • Active management of Net Cash, Cash Flow and Net Working Capital. Propose, validate and implement corrective actions to keep these metrics in line with the levels of activity and agreed targets.
  • Maintain Eurofins’ compliance and control framework
    • Responsible for the execution of the annual external audit process. Manage the relation with the external auditors and ensure that for internal control and process deficiencies identified, an action plan is developed and deployed.
    • Ensures and constantly improves an adequate level of internal control through maintenance and improvement of internal control systems and processes.
    • Ensures application of Eurofins Group rules for Accounting and Reporting.
  • Driving the implementation of standard processes and systems, in close collaboration and alignment with the Business and Group Finance functions.
  • Creating and managing a strong cooperation framework on finance matters with the business unit managers and business controllers in the country.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Master degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
  • Advanced certification in accounting: chartered accountant (CPA or local equivalent), ACCA, other similar relevant, is preferred.

Professional experience: 

  • 6-8 years of working experience in finance with evolutive career path and (initial) managerial experience.
  • Background in financial audit is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office and ERP systems
  • Excellent technical financial skills including accounting, reporting, audit, internal control, tax and net working capital management. Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.

 Language skills:

  • German (fluent written and spoken).
  • Swiss German.
  • English (fluent written and spoken).
  • French (fluent written and spoken) for necessary Business Conversations.
  • Any additional language is an asset.
