Job Description

This is a fulltime, permanent position working 35 hours per week either of the below Shift Patterns:

Shift Pattern 1: Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 15:00 & Friday 07:00 – 12:00.
Shift Pattern 2: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 16:45 & Friday 08:30 – 12:30.

As an Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician you will support the Clinical Supplies Operation (CSO) Packaging team and work in close collaboration with Quality and EHS as required.

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

  • As a Packaging Technician, you will perform start up, operation, and close down of primary, secondary, and clinical kit production activities in accordance with approved SOPs, ensuring all equipment and rooms meet required cleanliness and compliance standards.
  • You will construct clinical trial kits in line with strict protocols, maintaining blinding integrity, carrying out in process checks, and supporting equipment set up, strip down, and cleaning.
  • You will be responsible for accurately documenting data through electronic batch records, equipment logs, and other controlled documents, while supporting the maintenance of GMP compliant processes across packaging and labelling operations.
  • You will liaise with client representatives and Quality teams, addressing queries, confirming product and label accountability, and supporting audits, system testing, and validation activities.
  • You will monitor and control production processes and equipment, undertake basic troubleshooting, escalate issues appropriately, and ensure adherence to regulatory and client standards.
  • You will work flexibly across multiple packaging operations, stay up to date with process or regulatory changes, revise SOPs when needed, and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician:

  • To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience working as a Packaging Technician within a regulated pharmaceutical environment, with relevant experience considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • You will have a sound understanding of pharmaceutical packaging processes, strong knowledge of blinding principles, and clear awareness of regulatory expectations for clinical trial materials.
  • You will have proven experience constructing clinical trial kits, maintaining blinding integrity, and supporting packaging operations in line with GMP requirements.
  • You will be experienced in working within a GMP environment, completing documentation accurately, troubleshooting operational or process issues, and supporting regulatory or client audits.
  • You will be capable of working with electronic systems such as SAP, temperature monitoring systems, and electronic batch records, as well as standard MS Office applications.
  • You will also be flexible in your approach, able to switch priorities at short notice, communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, and motivated to contribute ideas that improve existing processes
