Azure DevOps Engineer

With 36 facilities worldwide, Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) is the largest network of bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratories providing comprehensive laboratory services for the world's largest pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies.
BPT is enabled by global engineering teams working on next-generation applications and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of the delivery team, contributing to the automation of product features and helping accelerate the journey from concept to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery to the business. DevOps Engineer (Software Engineer Level)

Primary Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer at SE level, the individual will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, support automated deployments, and collaborate with development teams to ensure reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and environments.
• Automate deployment processes and integrate testing into pipelines.
• Support Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform for deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot build/release issues and optimize pipeline efficiency.
• Monitor pipeline performance and operational metrics, and suggest improvements.
• Document CI/CD processes, code management policies, and automation workflows.
• Required Skills:
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git Repos, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform.
• Knowledge of source code management, branching, versioning, and promotion strategies.
• Familiarity with agile/iterative software development methodologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience creating build/release scripts using YAML, CAKE, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to deployments across multiple Azure regions and subscriptions.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, OpenResty, or similar technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or related roles, preferably in Microsoft technology stack.

Technical Stack:

• Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Artifacts, Git Repos), PowerShell and C# scripting.
• .NET Framework, App Service Plans, App Services, Azure Functions, C#, SQL scripts.
• Infrastructure as Code: Bicep, Terraform.

Personal Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various topics related to project and otherwise.

Required Qualifications:

• MCA or Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA: Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
