Job Description

 

  • Lead the overall biomarker strategy and execution for Eurofins Central Laboratory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across all locations to develop strategic plans that support the continued growth of the biomarker department.
  • Ensure that the department operates in accordance with global standards and procedures of Eurofins Central Laboratory.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient study set-up according to clinical protocol/quote and in line with the agreements and understandings with the strategic client accounts.
  • Oversee staff to provide a pro-active and timely project/study communication with the strategic accounts to maximize client satisfaction. 
  • Ensure all projects and studies activities (setup, conduct, data transfers and closure) are delivered on time, in full (on specs) and within budgets. 
  • Oversee corrective actions to bring them back on track and expectations. Take appropriate actions and escalate to/follow-through with other functional and site leaders and projects deviate from expectations. 
  • Identify opportunities for service enhancement and/or development. 
  • Providing operational input into quotes/proposals to ensure capabilities and client needs are aligned.
  • Develop and maintain KPI’s, and report to Senior leadership.
  • Support the sales team by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Support and work with QA: to ensure timely resolution of corrective actions from audit findings for your own department. 
  • Maximize global staff productivity and reduce department costs.
  • Organize (define) department, functions, and staff to surpass global standards in a competitive and drug development services business environment.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience managing complex, service projects in Life Science, Pharmaceutical or Laboratory Services industry. Hands-on experience preferred.

Education

  • Ideally PhD or Bachelor/Master in Healthcare, Life Sciences or similar fields.

  • Conceptual ability; has a quick overview of complex situations, problems, and processes.
  • Converts abstract issues into concrete actions and results, devises new methods and techniques.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic person. 
  • Strong communication skills, experience in managing and motivating a team. 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, client service focus and performance orientation. 
  • Excellent command of the English language, spoken and written. 
  • Undertakes to perform and behave in accordance with the agreements established in SOPs, within the overall quality system.
