Job Description

We are looking for a positive, motivated, and adaptable Analytical Chemist to join our team. This role requires strong independence and the ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight in a dynamic environment. As an Analytical Chemist, you will play a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations and ensuring the accuracy and quality of analytical results. Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform in-process sample testing using advanced chromatographic, electrophoresis, and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Prepare samples for testing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the process.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis, identifying key trends and insights from experimental results.
  • Summarize and present data clearly in both written and visual formats.
  • Compile detailed reports of findings, providing actionable recommendations based on test outcome

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate will Have: 

 

  • Good understanding of chromatographic, electrophoresis, and spectroscopic techniques
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work within a team and also in cross-functional setting
  • Familiar with SOP and GxP requirements.

Minimum Qualificaitons: 

 

  • Bachelor’s of Science in a related field with 1-2 years of experience
  • Ability and preference to work independently in an environment where quick access to the project lead is not consistently feasible
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to track work across multiple unique projects
  • Experience with Formulation and Analytical characterization skills such as:
    • Size exclusion chromatography
    • Absorbance-based concentration methods
    • Particle counting methods (HIAC and/or MFI)
    • Experience with handling and/or concentration of protein-based solutions
  • Lab Experience such as:
    • Buffer preparation
    • pH measurement
    • Dilution
    • Pipetting
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Details: 

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Gaithersburg, MD, and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
